Crafting Digital Writing Summer Kick-Off Conversation

Tuesday, June 18 @ 4:00 EST | Google Hangouts on Air

With so many possibilities for creating and capturing students' digital compositions, how can we invite them to document all their learning? How can they design an effective website? Prepare an aesthetically pleasing presentation? Mix media to compose digital video?

To kick-off the National Writing Project's participation in the Summer of Making and Connecting, listen in to this collaborative conversation via Google Hangouts on Air featuring the author of Crafting Digital Writing: Composing Texts Across Genres and Media and Director of the Chippewa River Writing Project, Troy Hicks, and colleagues from the other NWP sites as they discuss the role of craft to support the teaching of digital writing:

  • Joe Wood, Area 3 Writing Project
  • Melissa Wilson, Columbus Area Writing Project
  • Jenn Wolfe, Cal State Northridge Writing Project
  • Paul Oh, National Writing Project

Learn about the ways that these teacher leaders are integrating digital writing into their summer institutes as well as opportunities to collaborate with teachers from across the nation.
